Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation Policy outlines the terms under which you may cancel your interior design services agreement with FDC Studios.

1. Overview

This Cancellation Policy governs the cancellation of interior design service agreements between FDC Studios ("we," "our," "us") and the client ("you," "your"). By engaging our services, you agree to the cancellation terms outlined in this policy.

2. Cancellation by Client

You may cancel your service agreement at any time by providing written notice to us. The refund or charges applicable will depend on the stage of the project at the time of cancellation:

  • Before Design Commencement: Full refund of the initial payment, minus any administrative fees (up to 5% of the project value or ₹5,000, whichever is lower).
  • After Design Approval (Before Manufacturing): Refund of the project value minus design fees and administrative charges. Design fees are non-refundable once the design has been approved.
  • After Manufacturing Begins: No refund is applicable as materials, labor, and production costs have been incurred. However, we may offer store credit or alternative solutions at our discretion.
  • After Installation: No cancellation or refund is permitted. Warranty claims will be handled separately under our Warranty Policy.

3. Cancellation by FDC Studios

We reserve the right to cancel a project under the following circumstances:

  • Non-payment of milestone payments by the client as per the agreed schedule.
  • Failure of the client to provide necessary approvals, decisions, or site access within reasonable timelines.
  • Misrepresentation of information by the client.
  • Unforeseen circumstances that make project completion impractical.

In such cases, we will provide a full refund of any payments made for work not yet completed.

4. How to Cancel

To request a cancellation, please submit a written cancellation request via email or registered post with the following details:

  • Your full name and contact information.
  • Project reference number.
  • Reason for cancellation (optional).
  • Date of cancellation request.

5. Processing Time

Cancellation requests will be acknowledged within 3 business days of receipt. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 15-20 business days from the date of cancellation approval. Refunds will be made via the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed.

6. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be held liable for cancellation or delay caused by events beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, labor disputes, or supplier failures. In such cases, the project timeline will be adjusted, or the agreement may be terminated with a refund for work not yet completed.

7. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from cancellation shall first be resolved through amicable negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Bangalore, Karnataka.

8. Changes to This Policy

FDC Studios reserves the right to modify this Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Clients are encouraged to review this policy periodically.
